Moments from the Lives of the Anbiya (Prophets)

Bismillahir rahmanir raheem

Asalaamu alaykum,

I’ve taken a lot of time and effort to think about what I’d like to do for my Ramadhan series inshaAllah. I played around with a few ideas in my head about salah, tarawih and food but I finally settled on this one.

The Prophets of Allah (as) should be close and dear to our hearts. They went through trials and tribulations that we can’t even imagine. In a talk I listened to by Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, he mentioned that we as Muslims shouldn’t just be outraged when we hear offensive things about Muhammad (saw) but when any of the Prophets are slandered. When the movie Noah came out, when shows like Family Guy openly offend Isa (as) we should have felt the same conviction we do when our Prophet (saw) is slandered openly and without shame!

So this Ramadhan I’ll be writing about moments from the life of the Anbiya (as) because by knowing them, our love for them will increase inshaAllah.

Most of the sources I will be bringing to you will come from the Al Kauthar course, The Prophets of Allah that I attended in 2013. An amazing course that provided some of the most wonderful stories from the Anbiya. I’ll also be taking some information from the Tafseer of Surah Yusuf, another Al Kauthar couurse (my first in fact) taught by Sh. Sajid Umar. This course is coming to Birmingham again on the 13th and 14th of June inshaAllah, so if you have’t already been it’s a great one to start with!

So join me for Moment fron the Lives of the Anbiya and increase your love for the greatest men of all time!

Wasalaam – Peace Be With You

You can submit any article in sha Allah. We will go through it and publish it if we find it suitable for the website audience. We are trying a build a platform for muslim writers as well as youth to spend quality time on internet with sections like Halal Humor, Islamic Stories and so on.
