Bismillahir rahmanir raheem
Ramadan Mubarak everyone! How’s the first few fasts going? Alhamdulillah, we’ve made it to the blessed month of Ramadan.
In an attempt to prepare myself for Ramadan, most of the picks for this week will be concentrating on that.
Recently, Imam Suhaib Webb was kind enough to share one of the articles I wrote based on his HalfTime Halaqa’s held on Periscope. I must say, I really commend the Imam on his engagement with the youth and Muslim community. As a revert to Islam, he’s a really good example of how we can really make a difference. Here are his Ramadan Reflections based on his first Ramadan.
I’ve been introduced to a new series by Bayyinah available on YouTube taught by Sh. Omar Suleiman called “People of the Qur’an”. During Ramadan we increase our recitation of the Qur’an and try to finish it as this was the month the Qur’an was revealed alhamdulillah.
I can’t wait to watch more from this series inshaAllah! Here’s the first episode about Surahtul Fatihah.
The wonderful sisters over at Muslimah Media have again excelled themselves with another great series, #WWMD (What Would Muhammad (saw) Do) in Ramadan. SubhanAllah, we can only imagine and read from what we know about how the Prophet (saw) spent his Ramadan with his family. May Allah swt reunite us with him in jannah so we can ask him first hand, Ameen. Until then, here’s the first episode in the series.
No one want’s to spend hours in the kitchen preparing iftaar, and you can’t (and shouldn’t) have samosas every night! So check out KerryAnn Dunlop’s easy tuna pasta bake over at FoodTube for a tasty and easy to prepare beforehand main meal.
It was mainly the thumbnail that made me click on this video (I thought it was hilarious) but DawahMan aka. Imran ibn Mansur makes some very valid points in this video about the month of Ramadan.
