Bismillahir rahmanir raheem
One thing that’s always intrigued me is the connection between figures in the Bible and in the Qur’an. As Muslims, we positively acknowledge that the same Prophets that appear in the Bible also appear in the Holy Qur’an, admittedly with some important differences. But what about the women?
Women in the Qur’an and the Bible is my chance to explore the women that appear in both holy books and share what I’ve learnt here on my blog.
So the women that I will be researching and discussing are:
Maryam (as) mother of Isa, Jesus, (as)
Bilquis aka the Queen of Sheba
Hawwa/ Eve (as) our mother and wife of Aadam (as)
Hajar/ Hagar (as) wife of Ibrahim (as)
All of these women hold very special places in both faiths and as Muslims especially, we should be ready and willing to restore them to their rightful positions as Muslims.
So join me on this journey and learn more about Women in the Qur’an and the Bible insha’Allah.
