Why I Started Blogging….

Bismillahir rahmanir raheem

It’s easy to lose sight of the wood for the trees. I’ve been blogging for nearly a year and a half now and my blog has allowed me to do things I never would have dreamed of. I’ve been on TV, collaborated with others and even had the opportunity to review books alhamdulillah. BUT, when you’re doing so many things, it’s easy to forget why you started doing something in the first place.

Actions are but by intentions and every man shall have only that which he intended – Taken from the 40 Hadith of Imam AN-Nawawi

This post is me, reaffirming my intentions and reminding myself why I started blogging. I wanted people to know about Islam, my Islam. The Islam of peace and mercy, the Islam that led me to leaving my old self behind and becoming a new person. The Islam that pushed me to go on a spiritual journey of self discovery and start to peel the damaged layers of myself off to reveal something more. Strangely, this lead me down the route of coaching as well, alhamdulillah, He is the best of planners.

Although I love writing more lifestyle posts, I love writing about Islam even more. It is what makes me who I am, and who I wan to be in the future. Everyday Islam changes me and this blog is an attempt to document that and bring you along on the journey with me.

If there are any posts you’d like me to write or questions you want me to answer (to the best of my ability) about Islam, please do leave a comment below or head over to my Instagram to chat with me over there.
